About This Record
The external source reports 457,962,538 unique emails and local search contains 456,633,115 records, a difference of 1,329,423.
Raw rows can exceed unique emails or people because one address may recur with multiple passwords and sources. The original breach source, password date, and field co-occurrence cannot be established for every row. A claimed May 4, 2017 list-addition date must not be used as the incident date.
The two classes are emails and passwords. A match does not establish identity, a particular company account, password ownership or currentness, field co-occurrence, original source, account takeover, or misuse.
If an old password genuinely belonged to the person and was reused elsewhere, every reuse should be replaced with a unique password. Bulk attempts of the same credential against other services are credential stuffing.
