About This Breach
The 157,692 figure is not unique people, artists, collectors, subscribers, valuations, or rows containing every field together. “Salutations” means forms of address, not job or artwork titles. MD5 is not plaintext but is weak by current standards.
Financial data, physical addresses, phones, government IDs, art ownership, and valuation results are not classes. A record does not establish identity, an Artvalue account or artist or collector relationship, artwork ownership or value, password ownership, field co-occurrence, or misuse.
If the old password genuinely belonged to the person and was reused elsewhere, it should be replaced. Valuation, subscription, artwork-sale, or payment requests should be verified through an independent official channel.
